Surprising Finding on Faces
Researchers think that men with brown eyes are perceived as tougher, but not because of their eye color. MSNBC reports on the new study by Charles University in Prague. In the study, eye color in photos of men with brown eyes were changed with Photoshop to be blue instead. Even with this change, study participants still rated brown-eyed men as more dominant, but women with brown eyes weren't rated as more dominant. Study researchers were surprised by the findings, but believe that brown-eyed men may share certain facial features like larger noses and broader chins and mouths that make them appear tougher. Scientists think that blue eyes didn't even exist until a genetic mutation emerged around 10,000 years ago. Before that time, researchers believe that everyone had brown eyes.
